Question & Answers
What is Video Analytics?
Video Analytics, also referred to as Video Content Analysis (VCA), is a generic term used to describe computerized processing and analysis of video streams.
Computer analysis of video is currently implemented in a variety of fields and industries, however the term “Video Analytics” is typically associated with analysis of video streams captured by surveillance systems.
Video Analytics applications can perform a variety of tasks ranging from real-time analysis of video for immediate detection of events of interest, to analysis of pre-recorded video for the purpose of extracting events and data from the recorded video.
Why Use Video Analytics?
Video analytics provides real-time alarms based on user-defined rules to proactively detect irregular behavior without the need for human supervision.
Video analytics is a way to manage the mass of undifferentiated video data received from cameras and turn it into useful information.
Real Time and Not Tomorrow
On the security side of building safety, we’ve always handled things ˜tomorrow”.
You get a report from the alarm company the next day or find in the morning there’s a broken door and have to retrace what happened.
Analytics allows you to respond in real time to real events, handle them, and go on with your day.
I Already Have A Security Team Doing 24/7 Monitoring?
In a typical commercial setting, there could be tens or hundreds of cameras. Obviously no one person can monitor each and every feed. Video analytics serves as a power multiplier and allows you to see more with less.
I Have Recently Upgraded My Security Cameras - But They Are Analogue - What Can You Do?
Analog cameras can be used with all our products if they are connected through a video encoder. The video encoder converts the camera’s analog signals to digital. Several cameras can also be connected to a single video encoder so any existing assets can be re-used..
Which IP Cameras Can I Connect To The System?
Our video management software (VMS) lets you connect a wide variety of cameras. Our VMS currently supports more than 1,000 IP cameras, encoders and digital video recorders (DVRs) from almost 100 different manufacturers. Our VMS also supports ONVIF and PSIA standards, allowing you to connect to virtually any IP camera on the market.
Can I See Video Footage on My Smart Phone?
All of our digital solutions provide delivery of video footage to your Smart Phone in real time.
We provide the necessary software for your smart phone whether IOS or Android to enable this as a standard feature.
The distribution of the footage can be to single or multiple destinations.

Video Analytics - Real Time Alerts And Analysis
Video Analytics increases security with the ability to automate surveillance operations. It is can be quickly incorporated into either new or existing CCTV networks.
Unlimited video streams are monitored to determine a range of activities, events or behaviours that might be considered suspicious or out of character.
Alarms are then generated when pre-determined specific rules are violated or broken and with automatic notifications sent directly to your Security operations for immediate investigation.
Video Analytics can intelligently track, zoom in and record all target activity from cameras without the need for operator intervention, classifying people, vehicles, objects and behaviours automatically from the set of pre-determined rules.
All unauthorised activity in pre-defined target zones are monitored 24/7 including movement, unattended objects, loitering, and vehicles or people moving in the wrong direction or within restricted zones.
